Skip Bayless doesn’t have LeBron James to target during this year’s NBA Playoffs. Bayless has made a career out of criticizing LeBron recently. Since the Lakers missed the playoffs, Skip appears to have moved on to a new target.

The Atlanta Hawks were quickly dispatched in the first round by the Miami Heat in five games. Bayless, always one to look for a scapegoat, chose Atlanta point guard Trae Young. Bayless went off on a tirade about Young’s poor play in the series.

Trae Young went out with a whimper in the decisive game five. Young scored 11 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. If not for a Herculean effort by De’Andre Hunter, things could have been even worse. Skip Bayless hit Twitter to let Young have it after the game.

“No Kyle Lowry. No Jimmy Butler. And Trae Young went 2-12 and 0-5 from three for a grand total of 11 points as his Hawks barely got closed out in Miami. I’ll say it again: “Ice Trae” is laughably overrated – just a cute little sideshow. He melted every game in this series.”

Skip Bayless thinks Trae Young is overrated. His opinions should be taken with a grain of salt because he frequently says the same about LeBron James. LeBron is undisputedly one of the greatest players in NBA history.

Trae Young is probably more disappointed about the loss than Skip’s opinion. The Hawks will now head to the golf course. There’s always next year.
