Jason Momoa Supports Johnny Depp Amid Amber Heard Trial

Johnny Depp decided to sue Amber Heard in court, accusing her of defamation, first in the UK, where he lost a trial, and now in Virginia. Many celebrities have taken sides in this divorce battle since their divorce. However, there is one person who was expected to support Heard but instead chose to support Depp.

Several well-known people have attended the trial to answer questions from the lawyers for the two parties. Jason Momoa, who has worked with Heard on a few occasions, including in the ‘Aquaman’ film, is the latest to take Depp’s side, albeit in a much more subtle way.

There were rumors that Momoa would support Amber, but fans of Depp point out that Momoa has only recently begun following the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star on Instagram, only after the Depp vs Heard legal battle began. According to them, this is a clear indication of Momoa’s support for the 58-year-old actor.

Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Sia, JK Rowling, and Paul Bettany are among the other well-known celebrities who have backed Depp. Meanwhile, a petition has been launched to try to get Heard removed from ‘Aquaman 2’ after she played Mera in the original film, which was released in 2018.

Depp is suing Amber Heard for defamation and is seeking $50 million in damages. Whereas, Heard has filed a countersuit against her ex-husband for $100 million. The entire world is awaiting the conclusion of the ongoing case between the former couple.
