Twitter is officially Elon Musk’s property. The billionaire acquired the bird app for $44 billion following a much-publicized meeting with Twitter executives this past weekend. Some people aren’t thrilled about that takeover.

Musk has gone on record in favor of free speech, saying he wants his worst critics to remain on Twitter following the multi-billion takeover. But not everyone is a fan of Musk taking control of the app.

Jameela Jamil is one such celebrity who has called out the free speech shtick on more than one occasion. The English actor quit the app several hours after Musk announced he had bought the company.

Ah he got twitter. I would like this to be my what lies here as my last tweet. Just really *any* excuse to show pics of Barold. I fear this free speech bid is going to help this hell platform reach its final form of totally lawless hate, bigotry, and misogyny. Best of luck.

Former U.S President Donald Trump is another celebrity who has no plans to return to Twitter. Trump referred to his own social media platform, Truth. The app launched earlier this year and those who wanted less restrictive internet space, it is for them.
