Future is one of the most influential rappers in the game today. The Atlanta rapper helped to popularize trap music and developed one of the most unique sounds out there. The road to the top has been difficult, but the streets are now paved in gold for Future.

Future recently claimed that too many artists are attempting to release new music at the same time as him, in advance of the release of his new album, I Never Liked You. Future made the claim earlier this week on Twitter.

Everybody wanna drop when I drop.

While the Atlanta rapper did not name anyone in particular, a number of artists have projects coming out on April 29th. Later this week, Action Bronson’s Cocodrillo Turbo, Kehlani’s Blue Water Road, Toro y Moi’s Mahal, Faye Webster’s Car Therapy Sessions EP, and more will be available.

Aside from this Friday, Pusha T released It’s Almost Dry on April 22 and Black Star is set to release No Fear of Time on May 3. Future’s new album follows his recent designation as the “best rapper alive” by GQ for a new profile.

I’m putting myself out there. Sharing my lifestyle with the world. Sharing my pain with the world. Sharing my ups, sharing my downs with the entire universe. I believe in the energy of the universe and manifestation. That’s why I’m giving myself, because I’m willing to correct myself. I don’t want to just…be wrong. I’m willing to give you all of me, so you can tell me how to build on me, and make me a better me.

While Future has not revealed the track-list for I Never Liked You, the album is expected to include Kanye West, FKA Twigs, Babyface Ray, and others. The rapper is depicted on the cover wearing a purple silk-like suit with a matching sleep mask. Future released a single called “Worst Day” on Valentine’s Day earlier this year.
