In the main event of UFC 270, Francis Ngannou defended his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Ciryl Gane. Ngannou became the victor via unanimous decision, something that fans found odd. He also blasted UFC contracts again recently.

Francis Ngannou then revealed that he did not feel like a free man one bit in the UFC. Ngannou even claimed that he gave up $7 million to get a better contract in the UFC but regrets it.

Ngannou also made it clear he wants to get into boxing to get better pay for his skills. Francis Ngannou also doesn’t know what he is doing wrong to not get a massive payday similar to Logan Paul.

While speaking on Brian Davis’ True Geordie podcast, Francis Ngannou blasted UFC contracts for being more like ownership, as fighters simply feel shackled to contracts they know aren’t good for them.

“It’s very hard for a fighter on this day to say no to a contract even if they know it’s not good for them. They have two fight left or three fight. They have 18 months left, there is a possibility that they can extend them with no explanation, no reason, a real reason and they cannot contest that. They cannot say anything about that. So when you, kind of like, think about those stuff you’re like, ‘This contract is messed up. This is not a contract. This is ownership.'”

Even Mike Tyson was surprised by just how little the UFC pays Francis Ngannou. Tyson Fury also seemingly confirmed a huge fight with Francis Ngannou recently. We’ll have to see if that will end up happening or not.
