Pat McAfee seems to be everywhere these days. The former NFL punter has one of the most successful podcasts going. Pat is also a commentator for WWE SmackDown and even wrestled Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38. There could be another major gig added to his portfolio very soon.

Rumors have been flying that Pat McAfee is in talks with Amazon about working on their upcoming NFL Thursday Night Football broadcasts. Pat had earlier teased that he was working on something. On his most recent show, he said that “something” might be “some things.”

“There’s been a couple of ‘up to something seasons’ where we’ve been up to something, and then something pops up in the middle of ‘up to something season’ and it’s like ‘Whoa whoa. Well now which news we have to break? Hey sorry, we’re going to have to delay this conversation.’

It’s a wild thing. It’s a lot of fun and we’re very lucky, and very, very thankful for everybody. And with that being said, we are up to something. Or somethings.”

In addition to McAfee being rumored as a host or commentator for TNF, many have speculated that Amazon might be trying for exclusive rights to air his show. That would certainly constitute multiple things. There is a good chance that Pat would be willing to listen if Amazon were willing to throw the right deal his way.

We will have to wait and see what those “somethings” really are. Pat McAfee has proven himself a savvy business person who gets what he wants. An Amazon deal could be the next step in the evolution of his broadcasting career.
