Pooh Sheisty has been sentenced to five plus years in prison for shooting at a nightclub security guard. Considering his crimes, fans had anticipated that his sentence would be much longer; but Pooh is actually lucky with 63 months.

Initially, Pooh Shiesty was facing 8 years in prison but Bradford Cohen, Pooh’s attorney told TMZ that the government had done wrong calculations. Cohen said that they asked for 63 months and that is exactly what the judge gave them.

Federal crimes can come with very long sentences and fans were curious if Pooh would actually manage to get less than eight years in prison.’ Now 5 years of the rap game will pass Pooh by, a sad day for hip-hop, but it’s far better than 8.

Pooh was arrested in June 2021 for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the Miami-Dade Police Department was called to the King of Diamonds club for a reported shooting. Witnesses said that security was escorting Pooh out of the building when things went wrong between the staff and him.

The security manager also told the police that the altercation began when cash fell out of Pooh’s pocket, making him fire that hit a security guard in the leg.

Eventually, Pooh plead guilty to one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

Pooh Sheisty’s music career was just taking off and now this jail sentence will definitely put a stop to that. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates on this story.
