Another NFL player has been arrested for a violent act against another person. Damien Wilson, who recently signed with the Carolina Panthers, was booked in Frisco, Texas after a violent assault on his ex-girlfriend. Wilson was said to have threatened the victim’s life during the rage-filled confrontation.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Damien Wilson broke up with Ryan Sokolosky after the relationship began in March of 2020. They got back together in February. Sokolosky caught Damien cheating on her with another woman and ended the relationship for good.

When Ryan went to Wilson’s house to pick up her belongings, she noticed that Wilson had damaged her patio. Sokolosky and a friend grabbed their dogs and headed back to her car. Wilson then emerged from her bushes with a tire iron.

Damien allegedly threatened to kill Sokolosky and then followed the friend into the apartment. Wilson then choked the woman. He then walked out of the apartment with a blanket with something inside of it, telling Sokolosky that it was her cat. Fortunately, it was only a laptop.

Wilson then got into his car and allegedly attempted to run Ryan over. She shared photos of the damage done to her patio and of the smashed laptop. Sokolosky then obtained a protective order against Damien Wilson.

Wilson told police that the incident was caused by road rage. That defense likely won’t hold up in court. Wilson has been indicted by a grand jury and will soon have his day in court. The Cowboys are probably counting their lucky stars that they no longer have Damien Wilson under contract.
