Serena Williams and her sister Venus are without a doubt, two of the best women’s tennis players in the world. The two were depicted in the 2021 film “King Richard,” which documented their father’s life, who was instrumental in raising the two athletes. Now, Serena wants the movie’s sequel to focus on her own life.

Serena appeared for an interview with Insider and spoke about how she’d love to see her and sister Venus’ life explored on the big screen. The two sisters have their own story to tell, and Serena wants nothing less than that.

“King Richard had a perfect ending with Venus on the tennis court. Venus goes in her direction, and I go in my direction,” Serena explained. “It’s two completely different stories.” “I had a rough journey,” she said. “I didn’t do well and then I did. It’s a lot of drama. It’s a telenovela.”

“King Richard” starred Will Smith, who depicted the life of Richard Williams, the father of the two famed tennis players. The movie was executively produced by Serena and Venus Williams. Despite the controversial Oscars moment, Will Smith won the best actor for his role in the film.

There is no doubt that fans would love to see their individual success stories in the future.
