Josh Brolin has been in many successful movies. While his some of the most noticeable movies are Sicario, DUNE, No Country for Old Men etc., he has played a few prominent roles in superhero films. The star is famous for his role as Thanos in the MCU, as well as its cousin Sony’s Marvel universe as Cable in Deadpool 2. He almost had another big role under his belt.

Brolin has made the fans of the DCEU think of what could have been after stating that he almost bagged the role of Batman in Zack Snyder’s BvS. The Avengers: Endgame star went on MTV’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast where he revealed the incredible detail.

The star said that he was approached by Zack Snyder himself to embody The Dark Knight. He was on board with the idea and quite prepared to make the leap as well. It would have been appropriate to the original comic adaptation of the storyline too, since Batman was older than Ben Affleck’s depiction.

The MCU star revealed that in the end, Snyder ended up taking Affleck over him. Snyder’s decision might’ve come from the deviation of the original adaptation. Superman is different from the original storyline as well, where he works for the government.

Josh Brolin seems to be into the idea of becoming Batman even still. As Discovery-Warner is looking into overhauling DC as its own content streamline, Brolin might end up bagging the role if they ever decide to go with The Dark Knight storyline.
