Trey Songz was charged with sexual assault while celebrating his birthday in Las Vegas in 2021. One of the women said that things went wrong after he brought a group of women back to his hotel room at The Cosmopolitan. However, it seems like Trey may take a deep breath for now.
After months of claims, all charges in the case are finally going to be dropped off. According to TMZ, a Las Vegas Metro Police Department official claimed, “The LVMPD has concluded the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Tremaine Neverson and determined that no criminal charges will be filed. If any new evidence comes to light, the case will be reopened for further investigation.”
David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, the attorneys who handled Trey’s case, also released a statement about the dismissal of the lawsuits. “We are pleased that Trey Songz’ has been cleared of wrongdoing and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigation has officially been closed,” they said in a statement.
They continued to express their gratitude by saying: “We are grateful to the LVMPD for the professional police work done and their thorough investigation, which included findings of inconsistency in witness testimony and insufficient evidence. We are pleased that Trey can now return to what he does best, entertaining.”
Despite the fact that he is free of charges, in this case, he still has bigger problems to deal with. The actor has been accused of a slew of prior incidents of domestic abuse against women. The singer was sued for $20 million in one incident for having non-consensual sex with a lady. Another is basketball player Dylan Gonzalez, who claims that the singer is a child abuser.
