Jada Pinkett Smith had a close relationship with Tupac Shakur until his death following a drive-by shooting at the age of 25 in 1996. Jada has spoken out many time on the grief she felt after Tupac’s death, particularly in an episode of Red Table Talk broadcast in May 2018. This is still a topic of conversation within the Smith house as they keep Tupac’s name in their mouths.

Since the violent shooting incident took Tupac’s life, there have been a number of unsubstantiated claims made that he is still alive and in hiding somewhere. Recently, a letter resurfaced online which was supposedly written by Willow Smith to Tupac.

The letter states that Willow knows he is “alive someplace” and asks him to “come back so mommy and me can be happy.” The letter came to light after Will slapped Chris Rock onstage at the Oscars on March 27.

“Dear Tupac, I know you are alive someplace. I think that my mommy really misses you. Can you please come back Can you come back so momy and me can be happy! I wish you were here… I really do! Love, Willow.”

The letter was first highlighted by internet personality, Kevin Samuels. It was then shared on a TikTok video which has been viewed over 2.6 million times online. The letter has sparked a wave of speculations while many question its authenticity.

The letter was supposedly added to Instagram in 2012, according to Jorge Rivas at Color Lines. Willow, who was 11-years-old at the time, reportedly shared a photo of the letter to her Instagram in August 2012 saying she wrote it “years” ago. However, the post has since been deleted.
