Ever since its launch Twitter never had an edit feature which almost every popular social media platform has. Twitter user are unable to edit the tweets they make but that is about to change now.

Twitter has revealed that it’s finally testing an edit feature. It is one of the most requested feature by users. On Tuesday, the company announced via its Twitter Coms account that they are looking to integrate an edit button onto the platform.

The company revealed they have been working on it since last year. As per Twitter, the feature will first be available to subscribers of the $3 per month premium subscription service Twitter Blue.

The news comes on the heels of Tesla and Space X CEO Elon Musk’s poll that teased an edit button as he recently became one of the board members of Twitter after purchasing 10 percent stake in the company

we’re kicking off testing within @TwitterBlue Labs in the coming months to learn what works, what doesn’t, and what’s possible.

Twitter addressed the Musk’s popular poll in their tweet in a funny manner as you can see below. More details regarding the feature are yet to be announced. The feature is change in stance of company’s co-founder Jack Dorsey who once said they would “probably never” add the feature.
