Tory Lanez was handcuffed during a Tuesday court hearing regarding the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. Lanez infamously shot Megan in the foot and the two have been publicly feuding ever since. At the hearing on Tuesday, the Canadian rapper was reprimanded by the judge handling the case.

DJ Akademiks reports that Lanez was taken into custody while in court today. “BREAKING: Tory Lanez taken into custody as judge finds he violated protective order for Meg Thee Stallion. He will be released after posting a new bail of $350K. Judge claims Tory was sending messages on Twitter aimed at Meg Thee Stallion,” the podcaster tweeted out.

Lanez had his bail increased and had to wear handcuffs in court. The reason is that Tory violated a protective order in the case after posting about Megan Thee Stallion on social media. Tory Lanez was remanded into custody and bail was set at $350,000.

TMZ reports that prosecutors initially asked for Tory Lanez to be held without bail. When that request was denied, they attempted to have it set at $5 million. Tory’s team is in the process of posting bail so that he can be released from jail.

Tory’s tweet directly addressed Megan, which the judge said was in violation of the protective order. Tory Lanez was not to contact or talk about Megan Thee Stallion at all. Lanez is expected to be out of jail by the end of the day.

Tory Lanez is facing felony assault charges due to the shooting. The gun was fired in Megan’s general direction, with at least one bullet hitting the influential star. Lanez has pleaded not guilty.

The ongoing legal drama will continue. Tory Lanez will have to be careful not to incur any further violations. The judge let him off this time, but the next incident could lead to him being held for the length of the trial.
