After the 2022 Grammy Awards, Mariah Carey expressed her gratitude to Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa. They paid tribute to Carey’s historic on-stage moment with Whitney Houston from the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. Lipa and Megan both arrived on stage wearing the same black Versace gown with a gold pendant.

Carey joked to Houston on stage at the time: “Nice dress. That’s a one-of-a-kind, yeah? Looks pretty familiar.”
