Kanye West will not be performing at Coachella this year, leaving the event with an open headliner slot. Also, Travis Scott fans shouldn’t expect an appearance either. According to sources close to Ye, he has opted to cancel his appearance at the two-weekend event in Indio, California, which begins next weekend.

Furthermore, TMZ heard that Travis Scott was going to join Kanye onstage so that’s no longer an option. It’s unknown why Kanye is pulling out, but he’s definitely had a rough few months, lashing out on social media at Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, and Trevor Noah, among others.

His racist attack on Trevor got him removed from Instagram for 24 hours last month, according to TMZ, and he hasn’t posted anything since. Coachella now has an evident hole due to Kanye’s cancellation. Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and Swedish House Mafia are still on the bill, but there’s a distinct lack of variety.

Travis was originally scheduled to headline the festival in 2020, however it was cancelled due to COVID. Travis was later scheduled to perform at Coachella in 2022, but the event was cancelled after the disaster at Astroworld. Fans begged him to return with a petition, but he refused.
