Jack Harlow, hip-hop’s newest charming scamp, is currently on a roll. He’s hanging out with his musical hero Drake, receiving high praise from Kanye West, playing in the NBA’s All-Star Celebrity Game and balling out, too. He recently came to Lil Nas X’s defense and clapped back at haters.

Before the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, Jack Harlow defended Lil Nas X, calling the Montero rapper a trailblazer. At the awards show, Harlow and Nas performed their song “Industry Baby” together. Harlow addressed the criticism of Nas, druing Live From E!: Grammys and flamed his haters.

Wake the f-ck up. What the f-ck’s wrong with you? It’s ridiculous. He’s trailblazing a path that, you know, it’s sad that it has to be trailblazed. But I think it’s amazing. He’s innovating the game—and it’s fresh, it’s powerful and it’s necessary. I’m grateful to him.

Harlow’s contribution to Nas’ Montero, which was nominated for Album of the Year, gave him a chance to earn his first Grammy. For his effort, We Are, Jon Batiste was awarded the prize. Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett, H.E.R., Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Kanye West were among the other nominees.

Jack Harlow has seen a meteoric rise in fame in the past couple of years. Harlow also stated that he owes Nas a lot for being able to attend the Grammy Awards. “Industry Baby,” a collaboration between Harlow and Nas, was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance but lost to Kanye West’s “Hurricane.”
