The Weeknd is an artist that never disappoints. He amazed the world with Dawn FM, which became one of the biggest albums of 2022 (so far). The Weeknd is now being super active on twitter over the Grammy weekend. Considering his beef with the award show, could there be a reason behind this?

While Abel is loved by the public, he makes it clear that he isn’t well liked by the recording academy. He got really frustrated as he was snubbed last year. As a result, Abel promised to not submit any of his work to the recording academy.

Dawn FM isn’t nominated for any category this year due to Abel not putting it up for consideration. On the other hand, The Weeknd is being very active on twitter, responding to fans and teasing new video treatments for songs of Dawn FM. He even shared stills from what he shot for “Out of Time.” The video of which he says will drop Tuesday.

wow what a day … today belongs to us

. and out of time TUESDAY !

you guys are hilarious. i feel like i should change my stage name to ABEL at this point lol.

out of time

Some might say Abel is fired up about his new projects and wants to share it all with his fans. The Weeknd managed to get himself and some of his albums trending right now on twitter. However, the timing of his more-than-usual twitter spree is somewhat curious.

The Weeknd might be ignoring the Grammy’s but the spotlight is all on him. That speaks for the kind of influence The Weeknd holds in the industry. It remains to be seen if Abel changes his mind and attends or submits for other music award shows later this year.
