Last night was a big night for Logan Paul and there’s no denying that. The Maverick made his professional wrestling debut, and that too on the grandest stage of them all. Logan teamed up with The Miz to take on the Mysterios (Rey and Dominik) on the opening night of WrestleMania 38.

Logan wore an ultra rare Pokémon card to the ring. He had purchased said PSA-graded Pikachu Illustrator card at a private auction. Little did Logan Paul that this expensive purchase would get him his first Guinness World Record. For the record, Logan spent more than $5 million on the collector’s item.

The global body recognized his extraordinary purchase and congratulated on setting a world record by becoming the only person in the world to own the most expensive Pokémon card sold in a private auction. You can read what Guinness said down below.

Congratulations to @LoganPaul on achieving his first Guinness World Records title! His PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator is the most expensive Pokémon card sold in a private auction – $5,275,000

Logan expressed his happiness upon receiving the Guinness World Records title. He said he has been a fan of the Pokémon franchise his whole life and that his purchase has made to to the record books. The elder Paul brother said he couldn’t believe it.

“I love Pokémon and the fact that it’s been validated with Guinness World Records – this is crazy. Tonight’s a wild night. This does not feel real!”

Logan would go on to win his pro wrestling debut match. The Maverick impressed the crowd with his abilities as he nailed the three amigos (a move set popularized by the late great Eddie Guerrero) and a frog splash off the top rope. After the match, Logan would be betrayed by his partner.
