Jerry Jones is one of the most visible owners in the National Football League. Jones’ attitude is that bigger is better. That is reflected in his monstrous AT&T Stadium, which will house WWE WrestleMania 38 this weekend in a massive two-night event.

The Dallas Cowboys owner was sued by a Texas woman who claims Jones fathered her illegitimate child. The plaintiff claimed that Jones was her biological father. Jones has not admitted to paternity, but ESPN has reported that Jones has sent the woman millions of dollars.

The total payments have added up to around $3 million. That includes paying her full tuition at Southern Methodist University as well as buying her a $70,000 Range Rover for her 16th birthday. Payments also went to her mother.

Lawyer Don Jack said that regular payments were made on Jones’ behalf to Alexandra Davis. The 25-year old filed the paternity suit on March 3. Davis’ mother, Cynthia Spencer Davis, met Jones in 1995 when she was working as a ticket counter agent for American Airlines in Arkansas.

“On numerous occasions I have made payments on behalf of Mr. Jones to Cindy and Alex Davis. [The arrangements were] for monthly payments for child support which ultimately totaled over $2 million.”

Jerry Jones has not commented on why he is making the payments if he has no relation to the woman. Davis initially asked for around $20 million. Alexandra said if Jones paid up, she’d drop the suit. Jones has paid up, but not nearly to that insane amount. Time will tell if paternity will be able to be proven in court.
