Chris Paul is emerging as a fine sportsman and leader. The Phoenix Suns point guard has another accomplishment to add to his resume. President Biden just appointed CP3 to his Advisory Board for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The White House announced Chris Paul’s appointment on Thursday. The goal of the Advisory Board is to advance the HBCU Initiative. It was initiated by the Carter administration in 1980.

The Biden administration continues to push advancement through Historically Black Colleges and Universities. It has given Chris the opportunity to serve alongside 17 other new members. There’s no doubt that Chris Paul is fit for the job, he has been an influential figure for young athletes for a long time.

Earlier, Paul served as head of the National Basketball Players Association from 2013-2021. He actively and publicly extended his support HBCUs throughout his career. Joining CP3 on the board will be the presidents of five HBCUs.

The board includes the presidents of Alabama State University, Virginia State University, Norfolk State University in Virginia, Dillard University in New Orleans and Prairie View A&M University in Texas and Delaware State University. DSU’s Tony Allen serves as the chair to the board.
