Venus Williams is a fantastic tennis player. She has a long list of accomplishments on her resume. However, during Sunday’s tumultuous 2022 Oscars show, Venus Williams suffered a nip slip.

The tennis star, who was dressed in a custom white, plunging Elie Saab gown, was seated alongside her sister Serena Williams when the wardrobe malfunction occurred. Fans on Twitter provided screenshots of Williams holding her right arm over her chest, which was caught on video by ABC cameras.

One person tweeted: “Oh my god and a Venus Williams nip slip. This Oscars has become an episode of ‘The Jersey Shore,’”

Venus Williams, who was wearing Stuart Weitzman shoes and Tiffany & Co. jewelry, posted a snapshot of her ensemble to Instagram prior to her wardrobe malfunction at the awards show. Despite the fact that such a fashion gaffe would make headlines on Oscar night, Venus’ pal, Will Smith, stole the show.

Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage during the live show after the comedian made a “G.I. Jane” joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who is bald and suffers from alopecia, an autoimmune illness that causes hair loss.

Later that night, Smith was awarded the Academy Award for “Best Actor” for his portrayal of Richard Williams in “King Richard,” a biographical sports drama about Richard Williams, the father, and coach of Venus and Serena Williams. The film was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture. After winning his first Oscar, Smith apologized to the Academy in a heartfelt statement on stage.
