Colin Kaepernick protested police brutality and racial inequality in the United States by kneeling during the national anthem at the start of NFL games. After President Donald Trump said that NFL owners should “fire” players who protest during the national anthem in September 2017, he became a free agent and has remained unsigned since. NFL teams appear to have taken note of a recent workout he had with the QB. David Robinson recently revealed that multiple NFL teams have contacted him about Colin Kaepernick.

David Robinson, a well-known football trainer who works with some of the best players in the league, claims that multiple NFL teams have contacted him about Colin Kaepernick following a recent workout he had with the QB. Of course, we have yet to hear of any concrete offers for the controversial QB.

Robinson, who has worked with NFL stars such as Dez Bryant and Antonio Brown in the past, tells TMZ Sports that “at least” five different teams have contacted him in the last few days after assisting with a training session for the former 49ers star in Dallas earlier this month.

“A few teams have reached out to me and asked how his arm looked,” said Robinson, who declined to get into which specific teams have called. “They have reached out and asked about him.” It’s interesting, given that Kaepernick hasn’t been signed by an NFL team since the 2016 season.

Robinson, on the other hand, stated that members from across the league called and appeared to have a legitimate interest in hearing his thoughts on the QB after the 34-year-old threw in front of him for several hours at a Texas high school last week. In terms of what Robinson told them, he stated that despite Kaepernick’s lengthy absence from NFL action, he was very impressed with what he saw from him.

“He definitely has the ability to play on somebody’s roster — like, right now. Like, a couple of the guys that were in the session that were on NFL teams were saying that his arm is just as strong as guys’ that we got on our roster right now and can play.”

“So, yeah. He looked real good.”

Robinson also stated that Kaepernick hasn’t lost his fastball and that he still has “a cannon” for an arm. This month, Kaepernick has been travelling across the country in the hopes of catching the attention of NFL teams, working with NFL quarterbacks and wide receivers and posting workout footage on social media. Robinson believes it’s all been a success so far, saying,  “I definitely think that this go-around, he may get a shot.”
