Yeezy Brand has become a big shot name in the sneakers and sportswear industry with its fashion and footwear empire. And the the forefront of it all stands Chicago native, Kanye West, who founded the brand. The 44-year-old rapper has announced a new hire to expand his business further.

Ye takes his remarkable brand mad seriously, and as a result, he has created a successful business out of it. That dedication made him a billionaire and the richest rapper on the planet, even surpassing established rappers like Jay Z by several billions of net worth.

As per the press release, Nur Abbas will now be the head of design for Yeezy. Abbas’ experience comes from his past where he worked for Nike as a design director for the ACG line. Prior to that he was senior menswear designer for Louis Vuitton for nearly 10 years, Now he is with Kanye’s signature brand.

Abbas will work on the shoes, GAP line, and also the Steamwear. In a statement to WWD, he expressed how he feels about his new company and the brand he has been given the responsibility to take even further than it is today.

“I’m energized to work with Ye because he cares so deeply about design and moving culture forward. At Yeezy and Gap, I’ve met some of the most talented people and teams, and I’m looking forward to working with them all to extend this new creative vision to the world.”

Abbas will now be working directly with Kanye; his focus will also include merchandise associated with Donda rapper’s music career. With such talented and experienced hire Yeezy brand has a bright future to look forward to. Ye might also be able to reach the levels of Nike’s Jordans in the near future.
