Lil Baby’s new album My Turn seems to be very successful. The album was at the top of Billboard 200, and it stayed on the chart for five weeks, eventually receiving triple platinum. The first version was released in February 2020 and the deluxe version was released in May 2020. Obviously, that record is still racking up numbers.

Billboard announced that the album broke a 55-year old record, My turn sat on the top 10 of the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for 85 weeks which was longer than any other album since 1965. Previously Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding held the record for 84 weeks. Lil Baby’s My Turn album spent a total of 106 weeks on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album had a handful of top 10 hits including “Woah”, “Sum 2 Prove,” “Heatin’ Up,” “We Paid,” and “The Bigger Picture.”

While enjoying this success the Atlanta-native revealed that he may be releasing another full-length album this summer after which he will be releasing a new music video every few weeks.

Lil’s made his new announcement shortly after his c0-collaborator Lil Durk released his album 7220 on March 11. It also features many celebrities such as Future, Gunna, Summer Walker, and Morgan Wallen. Durk used his grandmother’s street address in 7220, it suffered many ups and downs for Durk. After the death of King Von, Durk was in a tiring fight with YoungBoy. Von was shot from point-blank range by Lil Tim and died in Atlanta in 2020 after a quarrel with Quando Rondo’s team. NBA YoungBoy likes to talk about that murder, but he was not even there that night.
