Drake is well-known for his love of basketball. The Six God is often seen courtside at Scotiabank Arena cheering on his hometown Toronto Raptors. Drake is also close friends with LA Lakers superstar LeBron James. On Friday night, Drizzy’s loyalties were put to the test.

The Lakers have been a dumpster fire this season. LeBron James has complained about the team’s lack of chemistry. Russell Westbrook is being openly mocked by other NBA players during games. The playoffs seem to be a distant dream for LeBron and company.

Drake was courtside for last night’s exciting tilt between the Lakers and Raptors. The rapper had a bottle of Lobos 1707 tequila by his side. The Raptors weren’t able to deliver a victory for Drake, but he still seemed like he had a blast.

LeBron James took control of the game, dropping 36 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in 45 minutes. Russell Westbrook shook off some recent poor performances by hitting a game-tying three-pointer. Drake was left stunned.

The shot forced the game into overtime, where the Lakers were able to pull out the victory. Los Angeles will need to string together an enormous streak of wins to get back into playoff contention. Still, it must have felt nice for Russ to drain the shot right in front of Drake.

The Raptors appear to be in good shape for the postseason. They will be one of the lower-seeded teams out of the Eastern Conference, but it’s better than the Lakers’ fate. LeBron and his teammates will likely spend the Spring on the golf course.
