Kodak Black is one of the most controversial figures in the music industry and there’s no denying that. The Florida rapper served time for faking information on government forms to buy firearms, but Trump let him off.

Black was granted clemency by the former president in what would be one of Trump’s final acts in the office. Kodak expressed gratitude for the presidential pardon and even endorsed Trump on numerous occasions.

“I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing. @DanScavino.”

The rapper’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, recently shared a thank you note from Trump for Kodak Black’s public endorsement of the former president and for saying, “Getting rid of Trump is the worst thing America could’ve did.” Trump obviously approved with this statement.
