Shock rocker Marilyn Manson is used to controversy and this is no different. In an attempt to save his image, he filed a lawsuit, but it did not go unanswered.

Marilyn Manson filed a lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood over her allegations that she made against him in February 2021. Wood addressed those claims from Manson during an interview with Good Morning America.

Wood was questioned about the lawsuit while talking about her alleged experiences. To that question, he answered, “I stand by everything that I have said about the abuse allegations.”

When asked if she could prove that the claims made in the lawsuit against her are false, the 34-year-old actress said, “I don’t believe I am legally allowed to comment on any of the allegations, but I am very confident that I have the truth on my side.

The lawsuit that Manson filed on March 2, alleges that Wood and her romantic partner, Illma Gore, collaborated in a “conspiracy” intended to “publicly cast Plaintiff Brian Warner, p/k/a Marilyn Manson, as a rapist and abuser.” It also points out that this was done as part of an effort to convince other women of coming forward with false allegations against the musician.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, further claims in his lawsuit that allegations against him by Wood are “a malicious falsehood that has derailed Warner’s successful music, TV, and film career.”

The lawsuit also specifies alleging that Wood and Gore, “impersonated an actual agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation by forging and distributing a fictitious letter from the agent, to create the false appearance that Warner’s alleged “victims” and their families were in danger, and that there was a federal criminal investigation of Warner ongoing.”

The lawsuit is seeking trial by jury and includes four complaints against Wood and Gore. Those complaints include: Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress, Defamation Per Se, Violation of the Comprehensive Computer Data and Access Fraud Act, and Impersonation Over the Internet.
