Will Ferrell helped the Golden State Warriors end a five-game losing streak by bringing a little fun to the arena. The “Semi-Pro” star showed up in full Jackie Moon wardrobe and warmed up with the team in character before their game with the Los Angeles Clippers. Steph Curry and his teammates said it brought them the extra energy they needed to get the victory.

Ferrell has been emailing Steve Kerr about making some sort of appearance with the team. Kerr didn’t think it was real at first, according to the New York Post. Eventually, they agreed to have Will Ferrell come in and entertain the fans and lift the spirits of the team.

Steph Curry said the team wasn’t just uplifted by the moment. The NBA great was very impressed with Will Ferrell’s form. Steph said Will had great rotation on his jumper.

“It was fun, and I’m glad we took advantage of it. I think we fed off the energy. I was actually surprised, his form, he actually had some good rotation on the ball, and endless energy. I don’t know how.”

Dressed from head to toe in his Flint Tropics regalia from the hit movie, Ferrell took part in all the Warrior’s pre-game routines. Will went through shooting, passing, and dribbling drills with the team. Then he sunk a half-court shot for good measure.

The Warriors broke their five-game skid by beating the Clippers 112-97. The team had been struggling as of late. It looks like all they needed was a laugh from one of the most successful comic actors of all time.
