Draymond Green has been out since early January with a calf injury. The Golden State Warriors star eventually learned that the leg problem was related to an issue with a spinal disc in his back. The bad luck kept coming when Draymond was the victim of a recent burglary. Green’s anticipated short absence has now lasted two months.

Warriors fans have been very concerned ever since the injury occurred. Golden State dropped from first place to third in the Western Conference standings since Draymond Green has been sidelined. The playoffs are just around the corner, and positioning could be everything.

On Monday, Draymond Green announced that he has a return date set on his podcast. Draymond hopes to hit the hardwood with his team for a March 14 tilt against the Washington Wizards. Green said he is very excited to return.

“I am targeting my return next Monday, [March] 14 versus the Wizards. I am excited as hell. It’s been two and a half months. I’ve never missed that much time during a season.

I have once had an ankle injury that kept me out for a very long time in high school, but it was the offseason, so this is something different for me. I’m extremely excited to get back out there with my guys to try to help right this ship.”

The Warriors are looking to win an NBA championship this year. Draymond Green is a huge piece of that puzzle. Steph Curry can’t do it all himself. It sounds like Draymond will be ready to go in time for the pivotal stretch run.
