Charles Barkley is one of the most outspoken sports analysts out there. The Inside the NBA co-host is never afraid to speak his mind about all things basketball. Sir Charles comes with the same intensity in his opinions as he had as a rebound vacuum during his playing career. The Los Angeles Lakers were Barkley’s latest target.

The Lakers not only got swept in their season series with the rival LA Clippers, but they did so in embarrassing fashion. The Clippers dominated the Lakers last night by a lopsided score of 132-111. Barkley thinks the team is just too old.

Charles said Carmelo Anthony, DeAndre Jordan, and Dwight Howard were all “cooked.” Anthony received the brunt of his criticism. The team has been an absolute disaster, and Charles Barkley was more than happy to call them out.

“As a guy who was a great player, when I got old it sucked. So the Lakers got all them old guys. Think about this. All of those old guys, they’re cooked. Well-done. Over.

Dwight’s cooked. DeAndre Jordan cooked. Carmelo is cooked. I love Carmelo, it’s over. Those guys are cooked.”

It might seem like a harsh assessment of the team at first glance. Charles Barkley doesn’t think so. Age is certainly not helping the Lakers, who appear poised to miss the playoffs after an unfathomably bad season.
