WWE is always looking to expand their business in a variety of ways, be it in the form of video games, films, TV shows or more. However, that does not mean the company will not terminate their business relationship with other countries if they feel it is no longer worth it. It seems WWE has reacted to one of the biggest current global incidents now.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine recently has shook the world as tensions continue to rise. The invasion has already resulted in numerous casualties from both sides. The situation continues to escalate and many people fear the worst right now.

WWE has now severed ties with Russia after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. As announced on the WWE Corporate website, the company revealed that it has terminated its partnership with Russian broadcast partner Match, effective immediately.

The company has also removed the WWE Network from Russia, so this simply means that fans in Russia will not be able to watch WrestleMania 38 or any other WWE Premium Live Event and show.

“WWE has terminated its partnership with Russian broadcaster Match and shut down WWE Network in Russia effective immediately.

The move eliminates access in Russia to any WWE programming, including the company’s weekly Raw, SmackDown and NXT shows, its on-demand library, and all of its premium live events, including WrestleMania 38.”

The world is currently at a standstill as people continue to fear the worst when it comes to Russia invading Ukraine. WWE has made it clear which side they are on and that is what matters to the company in the end.
