If one lists the UFC’s current biggest fighters, Kamaru Usman undoubtedly makes it into the list. It has been apparent that he wants to expand past Octagon. Usman has revealed that he wants to go against one of the best.

Usman has been getting constantly called out by Jake Paul, but he wants to fight someone else. While speaking to TMZ Sports, Usman expressed his desire to fight the one and only Canelo Alvarez. Alvarez is currently regarded as one of the best boxers in the world right now.

Usman noted that both of the fighters would get nine figures if they ended up fighting. However, Usman firmly believes he would win if they ever fought.

“In 2022 I’m gonna shock the world. July, International Fight Week, I’m gonna fight Leon Edwards. God willing I get through Leon Edwards, September, Mexican Independence Day, I will stop Canelo Alvarez,” Usman said. “We talking 9 figures, for sure. […] “Absolutely I see myself winning the fight. Everything can’t be done until it’s done.”

Canelo has previously said in a statement that he doesn’t see himself fighting Usman. So this fight is unlikely to happen anytime soon, given that Canelo is only focused on skilled boxing opponents. Canelo is set to fight Dmitry Bivol on May 7.
