Melinda French Gates was appalled at Bill Gates’ friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, whom she described as evil personified. Melinda told Gayle King on CBS Mornings that Bill’s friendship with Epstein had a significant role in their divorce. She also told King that she had only met Jeffrey once and that was enough to creep her out. Melinda said that her heart hurts for the young women who were victimized by Epstein. She even expressed her sentiments to Bill but it all went unnoticed.

Melinda made it apparent that she and Bill still have a strained relationship. She claims they work together but aren’t friends. According to TMZ, when they first planned to announce their divorce in March 2021, Melinda and their children travelled to a secret island to avoid the media frenzy, and Bill was not invited.

The family was enraged with him, according to reports, owing to his supposed ties with other women. After 27 years of marriage, Bill and Melinda announced their divorce in May. Their marriage was irretrievably destroyed, according to her divorce petition. In August, the divorce was finalized.
