Evan Rachel Wood has been outspoken about her troubled relationship with Marilyn Manson. Wood claims the shock rocker forced himself on her and abused her throughout their partnership. Manson has denied any such accusations.

Manson is now going on the offensive. Marilyn Manson’s attorney, Howard King, has filed court documents laying out a series of events that allege Wood and partner Illma Gore conspired in an elaborate plot to defame him. The “Antichrist Superstar” says a nonprofit started by the couple was nothing but a scam.

TMZ reported that Manson has claimed that Gore sent out a bulk email to several of Marilyn Manson’s past romantic partners. They were allegedly asked to share their experiences. The effort was designed to get other women who were harmed by Manson to speak out.

The legal documents note that once Wood and Gore got some women talking, they attempted to convince them that they were abused by Manson. The pair is accused of saying the victims’ trauma was buried by repressed memories. It all sounds pretty far-fetched.

The suit further alleges that Evan Rachel Wood and Illma Gore carefully coordinated the entire scheme to build up a public relations nightmare for Manson. The suit even admits that they were successful in doing so. Manson also produced what he claims is a fake letter from the FBI warning of a criminal investigation and that her safety was at risk.

The entire convoluted drama will have to play out in the courts. As for right now, it’s Manson’s word vs Evan’s. Time will tell what the evidence says once this is ultimately settled by a judge.
