RHOP’s Mia Thornton is taking things one day at a time after revealing her cancer diagnosis. Mia joined Real Housewives of Potomac in season 6 and was one of the favorite housewives. Unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with cancer.
The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Mia Thornton took to Instagram on Friday to break the sad news with her fans. While she did not share the kind of cancer she has she did imply that its made a huge impact in her life. Mia shared a selfie and wrote to her 118,000 followers that ‘the storm is not over.’
She began her post by writing: ‘Same time last week, Doc called at 7:31am — Mia I’m so sorry but your test results came back and I need you to go to Johns Hopkins Cancer Center today.’ Although she’s dealing with a serious medical condition, Mia looked typically beautiful in the image. She shared even more beautiful thoughts.
Sharing her struggle and positical outlook, Mia wrote ‘You can only imagine the overwhelming amount of emotion G and I endured trying to figure out why.’ She was referencing her husband Gordon Thornton. Showing her courage she added, “However, even with such terrible news, I felt an extreme amount of peace and energy instilled that allowed me to remain strong.”
We wish Mia Thornton a speedy recovery. Earlier, Mia was in the news for calling out rapper Nicki Minaj. She decided to post a video on her Instagram account calling Nicki Minaj out for excluding her children from the gift giving. Nicki politely responded and explained the misunderstanding.
