The speculation and rumors regarding Lebron James leaving Los Angeles Lakers have been hurling left and right. Even more so after an All-Star break. Now he is dropping some words on the matter.

The Lakers superstar sent a strong message about his future with the Los Angeles Lakers following the team’s loss to the Clippers on Friday, February 25, 2022. James spoke to the media after losing the game,

LeBron made it clear that as long as he is in the NBA, he’ll always be wearing the Lakers uniform.

“I live in the moment. And I see myself being with the purple and gold as long as I can play,” James told reporters.

James then blamed the media for twisting the narrative. This was in reference to when he praised other general managers around the league, which others thought that he was taking shots at the Laker’s manager, Rob Pelinka.

“You guys take my words and just twist them to different places where they shouldn’t go. Like if I comment or compliment the GM that’s in OKC,” James said in the post-game presser. “I really believe that he’s done a phenomenal job. And you guys spin that to me saying that Rob [Pelinka] is not doing a great job. Or if I say the GM from the Rams, I loved his f****** T-shirt. I thought it was dope. And I believe the same way. I don’t care about picks. I only care about winning championships.”

It’s not that James and the Lakers never had friction between them. Much of the tension came from a stagnant trade deadline. But regardless of that, James has always sorted out his problems. He feels that the Lakers have done a great job around him by putting a championship-caliber roster.

This is interesting, because LeBron James also said that he wants to play a season with his son, Bronny James, no matter which team that might be. Stay tuned on this story.
