DJ Khaled is now the proud owner of yet another platinum plaque. The multiplatinum DJ won another platinum plaque in the mail, this time for his 2021 project Khaled Khaled.

On Friday, February 25, Khaled took to Instagram to honor the occasion with a series of posts. “I want to thank you in advance because my next post I’m so grateful for it and it’s such a big accomplishment that y’all did for me and I appreciate it and I’m grateful and I’mma show you that I’m grateful,” the DJ said on the first of what would soon be 12 posts honoring Khaled Khaled’s platinum status.

Khaled wrote in a later post, displaying the plaque before popping a bottle of champagne in his front yard, “Khaled Khaled officially platinum, they don’t want me to have another platinum album. Khaled Khaled officially platinum, RIAA certified, fan love I love you,” He added, “We platinum again baby.”

Khaled wrote in the caption,

“This right here is what we worked so hard for. Having 4 BACK TO BACK ALBUMS Officially Certified Platinum and double platinum – man this ain’t regular!! And #FANLUV trust me I got more. They don’t want you to be successful – so ima make sure I become a BILLIONAIRE.”

Khaled then wrapped up his flurry of posts with a clip of him jamming in the studio with Lil Durk, confirming that the 46-year-old producer’s “biggest album” to date will feature Durkio. “I love to work in the Morning. I been so busy forgot to post this. WOW!. Did I tell you I’m working on my new album! ALBUM MODE!” Khaled wrote. “@lildurk you went crazy !! On here! Wow! MY BIGGEST ALBUM IN THE WORKS!”

The award couldn’t have come at a better time for the Miami DJ, whose production abilities were recently questioned by online trolls after he shared a video of himself jamming out on the MPC3000 beat machine to demonstrate to doubters that he still had those tried and true disc jockey skills. DJ Khaled’s on-the-spot creation was bass-heavy, but detractors pounced on the beat’s simplicity and continued to trash the Major Key boss. However, Khaled is presumably unconcerned about what those trolls say now that he has another platinum plaque in his hands. Especially because he recently teamed up with Drake to create a new 2022 collaboration with Drizzy.
