50 Cent gave football fans a pleasant surprise when he showed up to perform at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show. Dr. Dre and Eminem served as his mentors when he was first breaking into the music business. It was great to see them all reunited once again.

Some fans felt like 50 Cent looked a little out of shape during his appearance. As the rapper hung upside down and spit bars from his smash hit, “In Da Club,” viewers took to Twitter to criticize his appearance. Fif went so far as to share one of the memes himself.

Thousands of loyal 50 Cent fans came to his defense on Twitter. A flood of posts came out to stick up for him. The overwhelming narrative is that body-shaming is never acceptable.

“The internet won’t shut up about 50 Cent having put on a few extra pounds, but no one called him “brave” for owning it, and all of a sudden “aLL BodY tYpEs ArE BeAuTiFuL” is not a thing anymore. Looks like fat shaming is a deadly sin only when it suits you you little weasels.”
