Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers are still in the same exact position they started the season in. Simmons is refusing to play because he doesn’t like the team’s choice of medical staff. Ben has stated that he isn’t mentally prepared to play, and that he is not comfortable at all playing in Philly.

The saga has resulted in fans harassing Ben Simmons’ agent. The team has tried to remain diplomatic throughout. Philadelphia has been working all season to broker some sort of deal to get some kind of a return for Simmons.

Joel Embiid may have reached the breaking point. The Sixers star has always maintained that he believed Ben had to take accountability for his absence and actions. Brian Toporek of Bleacher Report recently revealed that Embiid is hitting a major point of frustration with Ben Simmons.

“Everybody’s at fault. But at the end of the day, you’ve gotta look at yourself. Just like when we lost, I looked at myself. I knew I wasn’t good enough. I knew I wasn’t healthy enough and I knew I wasn’t good enough.

At the end of the day, you’ve gotta have some self-awareness.”

The Philadelphia 76ers have been having an incredible season, even with all the background noise. Philly is sitting in 5th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 32-21. Moving Ben Simmons could bring in some key pieces that might put the Sixers over the top for a championship run.

Thus far, there have been no takers for Ben Simmons. The Sixers have seemingly tried everything possible to resolve the situation amicably. Joel Embiid is getting tired of the distractions.
