Ex Lakers Starter Kyle Kuzma Teases Blockbuster LeBron James Trade

LeBron James is one of the best all-around player in NBA history. Recently NBA Central tweeted a report about LeBron’s desire to play with his son. Former key Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has weighed in on that latest LeBron James rumors.

Kuzma retweeted the quote from NBA Central on February 4. In the tweet it was mention that James would consider leaving the Lakers in the future if it meant he could play on the same team as his son Bronny James. “Presti about to sell the farm lol,” Kuzma said in the caption.

Kuzma is of course familiar with the trade market as the Lakers dealt the popular forward to the Wizards last offseason as part of a blockbuster deal for Russell Westbrook. As a frame of reference, the Thunder could have as many as four first-round picks in the 2022 NBA Draft. Oklahoma City has the potential to receive the Pistons, Clippers and Suns picks in the upcoming draft, in addition to their own selection.

Kuzma’s tweet was sparked by a February 3 feature story by Maxim’s Chris Sheridan who interviewed Windhorst about James’ future. The NBA insider believes James would be willing to leave the Lakers if it meant teaming up with his son. “LeBron likes LA, he likes raising his family in LA, and his post-career businesses are in LA,” Windhorst noted. “But he’s made it very clear that he wants to play with his son. If that situation is available outside LA, he’ll pursue it.”

Given the power of Klutch Sports, it is not out of the question that Bronny James could force his way to the Lakers. For now, the Lakers are tasked with improving their current roster. The trade rumors may be surrounding more players than just Westbrook If the team’s struggles continue.

While the elder James may want to play with the younger James, it is first up to the younger James to make it to the NBA.
