Anthony Harris knows what it’s like to have a tough road ahead of him. After a standout career at the University of Virginia, the strong safety went undrafted in 2015. Anthony tore his labrum and was unable to participate in most of the pre-draft process.

Harris signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings and got to work. The persistence paid off, and now Anthony Harris is an NFL regular. Harris even led the NFL in interceptions in 2019.

Audrey Soape is a huge Anthony Harris fan. The 11-year-old is also facing some difficult times. Audrey’s father and grandfather both passed away recently. With a daddy-daughter dance coming up and the Philadelphia Eagles out of the playoffs, her mother, Holly, saw an opportunity and invited the NFL star to attend the dance, according to TMZ.

“I just asked if he would come, if he’d be willing to come. And he said, ‘Not only will I come, I want to make sure she feels like a princess.'”

Audrey learned about her date about a week before the dance. Nerves about making a mistake while dancing with the football pro quickly went away as the two had an incredible night. Harris even paid for her dress, shoes, and makeup.

Anthony Harris was humble about the entire situation. Harris said he was just trying to be a good human being. He cherished the moment. It looks like Audrey did too!
