90 Day Fiance Star Geoffrey Paschel has got into some serious trouble. The reality star was awarded a long prison time after a head turning incident with his former fiancee Kristen Wilson came to light.
On Thursday, Paschel received an 18-year prison sentence without the chance of parole in a Knoxville, Tennessee court. He was convicted of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault and interference with emergency calls.
Us Weekly reported, the 44-year old was found guilty of the multiple charges against him last October in connection with a June 9, 2019 incident with Wilson. At the time, Wilson told the Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies that Paschel had attacked her, grabbed her neck and struck her head into a wall multiple times.
Wilson also shared with authorities that Paschel had thrown her body on the ground and dragged her on the floor. Wilson had bruises on her forehead, back, arms and mouth in the aftermath of the incident. She was subsequently diagnosed with a concussion.
Paschel’s attorney argued in court that Kristen’s injuries were “self-inflicted” and caused by a fall after heavy drinking. His lawyer also insisted that the assault could not have occurred for as long as she claimed or she would have had far more serious injuries.
Paschel’s camp went as far as to say that he was also wounded in the incident. However, a police officer thrashed the claims by Paschel’s attorney after he testified that the defendant’s wounds appeared self-inflicted, explaining that it seemed as though he had done it to his own torso.
Paschel was last seen on the fourth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, in which he got engaged to Varya Malina, 33. Amid his legal issues, he was not invited to appear on the show’s tell-all taping, which he commented on in a June 2020 Instagram Live session.
