Khabib Nurmagomedov Claims He Never Heard Of Drake After His Support Of Conor McGregor

Khabib Nurmagomedov will always be regarded as one of the best UFC fighters to have competed in the MMA world. Khabib ended his career after his match against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in 2020.

Since then there had been a lot of speculation regarding him returning to the UFC as he was still undefeated, with many believing he would come back to make his record an impressive 30-0. However, Dana White had confirmed back in March that the Russian fighter has retired for good.

The Eagle has defeated the best of the best the MMA world has to offer and that includes Conor McGregor, as the two had an intense fight at UFC 229. It saw Khabib tapping out Conor McGregor and winning in a decisive fashion.

During the weigh-in for the fight, music sensation Drake was in Conor McGregor’s corner as he gave McGregor his full support. While speaking on the Full Send podcast, Khabib claimed that he had no idea who Drake was.

”Honestly, I swear I don’t even like, before like when he was on corner… like people say this guy very famous. I swear I didn’t know this.

I don’t know this guy. … Maybe I hear his music somewhere like in street or something, but I didn’t know this guy.”

Since then Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have had a lot of bad blood and that is unlikely to end anytime soon.
