Nicki Minaj is unquestionably one of the most hip-hop’s well-known female rappers. In her decade-long career, she has already shattered a slew of records, and she has no plans to stop anytime soon. Recently, Nicki Minaj responded to Kanye West’s refusal to release “New Body,” claiming that he forced her to rewrite the verse.

Nicki Minaj’s fans can’t get enough of her after she’s been on the virtual interview circuit for the past week. Minaj has been making appearances on several platforms as she prepares for her new single with Lil Baby.

The Rap legend discussed her next album. Nicki also discussed her rejection of a feature on Gunna’s “P Power,” and why she previously declined to work with the City Girls. This time, a tape of Minaj’s chat with Hot 106 went viral after she mentioned Kanye West’s refusal to release ‘New Body.’

The song was supposedly scheduled to be included on Yandhi, Ye’s phantom ninth studio album that was never released. However, “New Body” was leaked online and quickly became a fan favorite as well as a TikTok viral success.

“I respect everybody and where they are in life, where they are spiritually. The public adored ‘New Body.’ Like, ‘New Body’ is the biggest hit record that never came out. So, what I thought was interesting was that Kanye made me write my ‘New Body’ verse four times over in order to fit into where he was creatively and spiritually in his life, right, only to then go on the internet a few months later to see him on Drink Champs.”

“Had ‘New Body’ been out when he was not in his gospel era, then it would’ve seen the light of day. But, it didn’t, so, it wasn’t meant to be. Everybody knows that’s the hit that got away.”

Nicki added that the “ship has sailed” for the record and fans should enjoy it as they’ve heard it. Nicki Minaj wants it to be released. What do you think, Did Kanye make the right decision of not releasing ‘New body’?
