The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, will be the actor’s first venture as the Caped Crusader. The film is set to be a completely different take on Batman than shown in previous franchises. It seems Pattinson revealed an interesting detail about the upcoming film as well.

Pattinson’s reveal was met with a lot of mixed reactions from fans, as many doubted Pattinson could do the Caped Crusader justice. Pattinson also made it clear he was afraid of offending Batman fans.

Robert Pattinson previously stated that it’s crazy that he’s portraying the role of the Caped Crusader to begin with, and is certainly enjoying his role. Jeffrey Wright also has high hopes for Pattison’s role.

While speaking to Total Film, Robert Pattinson revealed that the upcoming film will include a tease for a sequel as well. He added that the film is also strangely personal for him.

“I mean, they always have that little bit at the end, that’s like: ‘…and coming up!’ But other than that, it feels strangely personal. I think people will be quite shocked at how different it is.

When I saw it the first time, even from the first shot, it does feel incredibly different tonally, to the other movies. It’s so strange, and it’s sad, and quite touching. It’s a really, really unusual Batman story, and it almost seems harder for me to imagine it being a series afterwards.”

Pattinson previously hinted that his character will go through changes in sequels as well. The film is set to release on March 4, 2022. We will have to see how the film turns out to be and if it will be able to live up to fan expectations, especially when it comes to Batman and Catwoman’s portrayals.
