LeBron James finally felt like he was reaching his peak offensively this season. The Los Angeles Lakers have failed to find any real team chemistry as they’ve struggled to a disappointing 24-27 record. If the playoffs started today, the Lakers wouldn’t even qualify.

LeBron James’ recent knee injury has complicated the outlook at Crypto.com Arena. King James was sidelined after having intense knee pain. LeBron sat out several games as he tried to recover.

Shams Charania of The Athletic has reported that the missed time will continue for LeBron James. Tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers will once again see the Lakers take the court without LeBron. James could also miss the next few that follow, as well.

“Lakers star LeBron James is expected to miss Wednesday’s game vs. Portland, and could be out a few more games due to irritation in left knee, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Sides want to be cautious and allow James to return once irritation subsides.”

The Lakers have struggled all season whether LeBron James has played or not. The fact that he could miss more time has to be concerning to the Lakers’ front office. The team is starting to reach the point of no return on a season that has been a disaster since opening night.

We’ll see if LeBron can get back into the lineup for L.A. sooner. Lakers fans are starting to grow impatient as the team continues to fail to improve. LeBron is every bit as frustrated as they are.
