Eminem rose from the obscurity of Detroit nightclubs to the most successful rapper of all time throughout his incredible career. Slim Shady has sold nearly 200 million records. Billboard named him the “Artist of the Decade.” There are few honors of which Em is not deserving.

This year, Eminem helped induct one of his heroes to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A show-stealing performance helped enshrine LL Cool J into the halls of music greatness. It was noted that Eminem would become eligible starting with the following year’s class.

According to Rolling Stone, a diverse class of nominees has Eminem standing toe to toe with some of the giants of the music industry. Other nominees this year include Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Beck, Doly Parton, Rage Against the Machine, and Duran Duran. Hip hop is well represented this time around.

Eminem has been all over the place lately, despite not releasing any new music. Shady will join music legends Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and more for the Super Bowl LVI halftime show. Marshall also has a new deal with fitness company Peloton.
