Francis Ngannou defeated Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 260 earlier in the year. After that, a lot of drama ensued as he never got to fight Jon Jones. It seems Ngannou is unhappy working in the UFC from the looks of it.

In the main event of UFC 270, Francis Ngannou defended his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Ciryl Gane. Ngannou employed a new strategy to his game as he used a lot of grappling in his five-round fight against Gane. The fight ended in a unanimous decision win for Ngannou via scores of 48-47, 48-47 49-46 in the pay-per-view headliner. After his win, Dana White didn’t put the belt on Ngannou.

Francis Ngannou then revealed that he did not feel like a free man whatsoever in the UFC. Ngannou even claimed that he gave up $7 million to get a better contract in the UFC.

While speaking on his podcast, Brendan Schaub talked about Dana White’s current feud with Francis Ngannou. He warned White not to mess with Ngannou as well.

“I’m telling you man, they don’t realise what they’re dealing with. You’re talking about a complete f***ing outlier, with the mental strength of a f***ing special forces soldier that’s gone through s*** you couldn’t even imagine, Dana. You can’t even f***ing fathom who you’re f***ing with. Oh, and on top of that mental strength, he has the body of a f***ing X-Men [member], and he’s the hardest hitter to ever walk through that god damn cage. You wanna break that guy? You think you can disrespect that guy and not put the belt on him? Are you out of your God damn mind? This isn’t a s*** on Dana episode at all, I’m a fan, I don’t think the UFC would’ve gotten where they’ve gotten without Dana’s vision, his work ethic, his ego. But that ego is his biggest Achilles heel, it’s trouble.”

Tito Ortiz also recently hoped that Francis Ngannou is not erased from UFC history. Ngannou’s current contract with the UFC will expire in December of this year and it is not known whether he will re-sign with the company at this point in time either.
