Burt Reynolds’ 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was auctioned off at Barrett-Scottsdale Jackson’s 2022 sale, and the lucky bidder paid a high price. If you’re looking for a throwback and have $500,000 to spare, this gorgeous ride would have been ideal.

This 8-cylinder beast will go home to a diehard automobile enthusiast, and presumably a film aficionado with the final bid of $495,000. In his hit picture “Smokey and the Bandit,” Reynolds drove a car similar to this one.

While it wasn’t the car that featured on screen, it was a celebratory present for his efforts on the picture, which was the year’s second highest-grossing film. To make it even more special, this is Reynolds’ lone ’77 Trans Am, and he autographed the glovebox.

Burt’s automobile wasn’t the only hot rod up for sale. Pitbull’s special 2022 Karma GS-6 EV, dubbed “305 EDITION,” was up for sale. It got sold for $700,000, with all proceeds going to Pitbull’s SLAM charity and the Selfless Love Foundation.

David Spade’s 1968 Chevy Chevelle Custom Coupe was also auctioned and sold for $374,000. Burt Reynolds’ Firebird, on the other hand, was the star of the show. Take a look at the gorgeous pictures below.
